Tiger Gaming Software

It is true that Tiger Gaming isn’t one of the US poker sites available today, but I still want to discuss them for another entry. The software at Tiger Gaming was recently updated with some useful features. Before the update, they were definitely missing some key features that make online poker a positive playing experience.

Instant hand histories have finally arrived at the Tiger Gaming tables. Tables are also resizable, and you can now play up to 30 tables at once (it used to be a mere 4). Furthermore, if you like stats but don’t use a HUD, you can even view some basic stats at your tables.

Tiger Gaming has the requisite advance action buttons. One interesting observation is that unlike many other money poker sites, the No Limit games do not have two common advance action options: "call any" and "raise any". I actually like this because you can lose a lot of money in No Limit when they are clicked by accident.

While at the tables, you can choose to view dealer chat, player chat, both, or neither. And like the best rooms such as a Bwin Poker download, there’s a four color deck option which helps multi-tabling and prevents the "Oh my God I just went all in and I don't have the flush I thought I did" moments.

When you are at the tables and you elect to bet, you can either bet the minimum amount or you have to press the "bet other/raise other" button. You will then get a pop up with the option to adjust your bet size accordingly. This may sound complicated but the system actually works pretty well, although some people dislike that it automatically selects a pot sized bet unless you change it. It’s true that this can be bad sometimes, but it can also benefit you. For example, a PokerStars download sees several people bet less than half the pot because there is no “bet pot” option, but at Tiger many people just bet pot because it is very quick to do so. This, in turn, destroys your odds at drawing and you have to fold. During times when betting the pot isn’t optimal, though, this turns into an advantage for you.

Another difference from many of the best online poker sites is that players are able to take money off the table at any time by simply leaving the table, and then they can sit down at the same table with less money immediately afterwards. This is known as “rat holing”, and it angers many serious poker players.

Tiger Gaming also has different buy-in schemes for their no-limit tables than most sites. Tiger has 40-50BB minimums at their tables, which is much higher than the typical 10-20BB minimums. Many people will enjoy this as short stackers are usually disliked and are better off playing with a free slots download (according to me, at least).

I hope this review of the Tiger Gaming interface has helped you decide whether to play there. You might not think that Tiger is as good as Full Tilt or PokerStars, but it is at least superior to any Roulette bonus site. Thanks for reading my blog today; I’ll be back later this month.
